Plot of Episode 11

Julia Russell was born into a rural family that valued sons over daughters. At 18, she fell in love with Aiden Smith, a city youth sent to the countryside, and after having a daughter, followed him to the city. But his family looked down on her, made her life hell, and even accused her daughter of stealing. Finally pushed too far, Julia left with her child and met Richard Bailey, a disabled veteran.
