Emily returns home, and her adoptive mother, Harriet, insincerely apologizes for yesterday's conflict, offering a glass of juice. However, Harriet's true colors are quickly revealed as she informs Emily that she has "sold" her to a wealthy man for a price of $100,000 per night. After Emily's terrified refusal, the effects of the drug take hold, as the juice had been laced. As Emily collapses, Harriet looks at her "handiwork" with satisfaction, exclaiming it's the easiest money she's ever made, fully exposing her greedy and ruthless nature.
