Xu Zhilin appears to be extremely solicitous of the heavily pregnant Bai Yinyin, arranging for her to give birth at Qingyun Temple and hiring a Taoist master to chant scriptures. However, this is all a trap set by him and the Taoist master, intending to eliminate Bai Yinyin and seize her inner elixir when she is most vulnerable during childbirth. Just as Xu Zhilin is reveling in his triumph, Lord Chishui sneaks into the bedroom to urge Bai Yinyin to flee, exposing Xu Zhilin's plot. To his surprise, Bai Yinyin remains unusually calm. She not only sees through the conspiracy but also reveals a shocking truth: snake demons are incapable of bearing children, and there is a deeper secret behind this "childbirth" charade.
