This episode reveals the truth behind Mizuhara Maki and her daughter Mio's past abuse. Kuzuyama Ken, tasked by Naruse Kazuma to look after the mother and daughter, embezzles the child support money given by Kazuma, forces them to eat dog food scraps, and falsely claims Kazuma has abandoned them. The scene shifts back to the present, where Naruse Kazuma is enraged upon learning the truth and violently subdues Kuzuyama Ken. In an attempt to protect himself, Kuzuyama confesses he acted on someone else's orders. Kazuma interrogates the mastermind, setting the stage for a larger conspiracy.
