Plot of Episode 9

The episode opens with the protagonist, Shen Nian, astonishing her teachers with an exceptional college entrance exam score of 720, and she is informed that the city will be holding a celebration banquet for her. Shen Nian humbly accepts the arrangements. Afterward, she excitedly calls her guardian, "Uncle" Pei Sinian, to share the good news, but playfully hints at the score, promising to reveal it at the celebration banquet. Although in a meeting, Pei Sinian indulgently answers the call. Just as Shen Nian is preparing to attend a classmate gathering, she is stopped by a hostile female voice-over, leaving the audience in suspense as the episode abruptly ends.
