This episode, through flashbacks, depicts mother Li Xiuying's grief over losing her son Chenchen on a rainy night, placing all her hopes on her daughter Sangsang. Years later, Li Xiuying toils tirelessly to fund Sangsang's medical education. However, when she excitedly visits the hospital to see her daughter, she is unexpectedly humiliated in public by Sangsang's fiancé, Song Wenjing, who accuses her of "faking an accident for compensation." Just then, Sangsang, dressed impeccably, appears and witnesses her mother being insulted. The episode ends abruptly amidst the complicated reunion between mother and daughter.

In this episode, mother Li Xiuying finds her daughter Ye Sangsang at her workplace, only to be met with cold treatment. To marry into a wealthy family smoothly, Ye Sangsang lies to her fiancé Song Wenjing and his mother, claiming her mother is the family's nanny.
