Episode 1 - Buried Alive, I Rise

Upon encountering danger during his southern journey, Marquis Changqing, Zhou Wei, intends to adopt the children of the person who rescued him after his own recovery. He then collaborates with his mother, the Old Madam of the Marquis's mansion, to pressure his wife, Xie Miaoyi. However, Xie Miaoyi has been reborn with memories of her past life. She knows all too well that these two children are the "ungrateful wretches" who will lead to the extermination of the Xie family. However, when the maid Yuzhu announces that Xie Miaoyi is coming to investigate the illegitimate children, Zhou Wei and Zhao Sul an are thrown into a panic, as harboring a mistress during a national mourning period is a crime punishable by death.
