Episode 1 - Countdown

Delivery driver Su Chen catches his wife Yang Shanshan cheating with rich second-generation Chen Long at a hotel. Facing betrayal, Su Chen is filled with grief and anger. After leaving, Su Chen unexpectedly discovers he has awakened a supernatural ability to see the countdown to the life of all things: the countdown for dying creatures appears in red. After learning from Xiaoxiao about Xiao Wan'er's difficult situation within the family, Su Chen decides to help her save face at the banquet to repay her past kindness, and their relationship shifts from a purely transactional one to that of nascent allies.

At the 80th birthday celebration of the elder master of the Xiao family, all family members gather. The first and second branches are in a subtle struggle, vying to impress, while collectively looking down upon the declining third branch. At this moment, Wu Linlin arrives with her critically ill son, Xiao Dong, seeking medical help.
