Episode 1 - Driven to Power

After being laid off, Liam Wright started driving for Uber to support his family, only to hit rock bottom when his daughter was diagnosed with leukemia and his wife cheated on him—then, after saving the chairman who crashed right in front of him, he earned the man’s trust, kicked off his rise from nothing, outsmarted every scheming rival, fought his way to the top, and ultimately won both fortune and the heart of the woman he loved.

Episode 2 - Driven to Power

Wang Defa, a ride-hailing driver, rescues an injured and unconscious elderly person by the roadside during his shift out of kindness. Not only is he strongly opposed and abandoned by his passengers, but he is also ridiculed by passersby. Wang Defa resolutely takes the elder to the hospital, only to discover that the elder is the chairman of Gu Corporation. While anxiously waiting at the hospital, he receives a催促 call from his ex-wife, Li Wan, questioning why he forgot their adopted daughter Lele's birthday, putting him in a dilemma.

This episode depicts the predicament of Wang Defa, a former executive now working as a ride-share driver. This episode follows the down-on-his-luck former boss, Wang Defa, who encounters his ex-brother-in-law, Li Jie, a debt collector, on the street while trying to buy a birthday cake for his daughter, Lele. Li Jie and his subordinates heap humiliation upon Wang Defa, not only with verbal taunts but also by forcing him to crawl between their legs to retrieve the cake. Ride-hailing driver Wang Defa returns home from work with a birthday cake for his daughter, Lele, only to find her in a high fever and unconscious. He is frantic with worry, but his wife, Li Wan, who is preparing to go out dancing, is utterly indifferent and verbally abuses Wang Defa for his poverty. Then, his ex-mother-in-law joins the argument. Not only does she side with her daughter, but she slaps Wang Defa and berates him as a good-for-nothing, revealing that she only agreed to the marriage because her daughter got pregnant before marriage. Finally, she forcefully prevents Wang Defa from taking their child to the hospital, and the family conflict explodes.

Gu Yating publicly offers a reward to save her grandfather, drawing strong dissatisfaction and a slap from her second uncle, Gu Hao, who accuses her of damaging company interests. Chairman Gu, upon waking, scolds Gu Hao for his greed and filial impiety, and praises Gu Yating's filial piety. He then announces his intention to find his savior at all costs, using this as an opportunity to showcase the Gu family's absolute power to Jiangcheng's four prominent families. Meanwhile, ride-sharing driver Wang Defa, while driving, learns from a friend that the elderly man he rescued might be the wealthy magnate the entire city is searching for.

This episode follows taxi driver Wang Defa, who is summoned by Chen Zeming, the assistant to the chairman of Gu Group, after saving the chairman's life. Chen Zeming is initially suspicious but his attitude changes drastically after Wang Defa presents video evidence to prove his story. Wang Defa does not demand a hefty reward but instead pleads for a loan of 500,000 yuan for his daughter who has leukemia. His compassionate and righteous character touches Chen Zeming. However, the plot takes a shocking turn when Chen Zeming sends Wang Defa away and then meets the chairman with his own son, Chen Tianyu, claiming the life-saving deed as his own. This sets the stage for future conflicts.
