She deliberately brought in the dissolute Liu Jianhui to pose as her new lover, humiliating He Yanxiu by calling him a "sickly weakling," and even watched as Liu Jianhui brutally beat him. Five years later, to protect the welfare institute's land, Shen Wu transforms into a glamorous socialite and infiltrates Liu Jianhui's circle to gather evidence of his infidelity. Shen Wu reunites with her ex-boyfriend He Yanxiu, whom she hasn't seen in five years, at a business dinner. Back then, He Yanxiu left the He family for Shen Wu, only to be met with her ruthless betrayal and humiliation. Now, He Yanxiu is the powerful CEO of a leading company in Yun City. Under the sycophantic pressure of CEO Liu, He Yanxiu intentionally humiliates Shen Wu in front of everyone, mocking her past identity as a "great dancer" and forcing her to perform a pole dance or striptease to entertain the guests. During their conversation, they reveal that Shen Wu's attempt to infiltrate and investigate Liu Jianhui last night was thwarted when she accidentally ran into her ex-boyfriend He Yanxiu, leading to the plan's failure. However, just as the atmosphere becomes warm and harmonious, Shen Wu's true love, who is also Lu Zheng's cousin, He Yanxiu, bursts into the room. Just as the atmosphere becomes tense, He Yanxiu's fiancée, Duan Zhiyu, appears affectionately and links her arm with his. In a hospital room, He Yanxiu publicly acknowledges Duan Zhiyu as his girlfriend in front of his grandmother, intending to provoke Shen Wu. Heartbroken, Shen Wu accidentally knocks over a kettle and flees in distress under Lu Zheng's concern. Later, while composing herself in the restroom, Shen Wu is cornered by He Yanxiu. He furiously questions why she abandoned him when he was sick five years ago for money, why she is now involved with Lu Zheng, and enviously asks why she doesn't pursue him, who is wealthier. Shen Wu firmly rejects him, stating she can't "reach that high" and that Lu Zheng is enough, which leads to He Yanxiu forcibly kissing her.

He Yanxiu forcefully kisses Shen Wu in the restroom. Shen Wu angrily breaks free and reminds him that she is now Lu Zheng's (He Yanxiu's cousin) "girlfriend." Lu Zheng appears and takes Shen Wu away, resolving the awkward situation. Afterward, Shen Wu receives a distress call from a child at the orphanage, learning that the院长奶奶 (director grandmother) has been injured while trying to stop the demolition. Shen Wu rushes to the scene and, seeing the injured grandmother and terrified children, feels immense pain and resolve. To save the orphanage, Shen Wu decides to fight back, using the evidence she has of Liu Jianhui's infidelity.

Duan Zhiyu attempts to coerce He Yanshu into a fake engagement by offering business concessions and questions his transformation after his illness five years ago, but He Yanshu coldly refuses. Meanwhile, Shen Wu, in an effort to save the suburban welfare home, threatens Liu Jianhui with evidence of his infidelity. Unbeknownst to her, Liu Jianhui feigns compliance while tampering with her tea, and subsequently assaults and molests Shen Wu. At a critical moment, He Yanshu breaks down the door, rescuing Shen Wu and apprehending Liu Jianhui on the spot.
