The day after her mother Gu Wan's death, a young girl named Xiaohua, dressed in mourning, crashes her father Mu Shaoqian's wedding to her aunt Qiao Man. She publicly reveals the truth: her father abandoned his wife and daughter, lied about their circumstances, and cut off their financial support, leading to her mother's blindness and eventual tragic death. During a confrontation with her cousin Taoni, Xiaohua is pushed down and loses consciousness. Upon waking, she is shocked to find herself back in the past, with her mother Gu Wan still alive. Xiaohua realizes she has been reborn and has the chance to change her and her mother's tragic fate.
