Back home, Sun Lu's parents (Director Sun and his wife) praise Xiang Yuan highly and take the opportunity to belittle Sun Lu's ex-boyfriend from college. However, as Sun Lu prepares to show her mother the necklace from Xiang Yuan, a hospital payment slip with "Chen Xudong" printed on it accidentally falls out of her jewelry box. Upon seeing the slip, Director Sun's expression changes drastically, and he sternly interrogates Chen Xudong's identity, ending the episode on a tense cliffhanger.
