This episode tells the story of female scientist Lin Xi, who unexpectedly travels back to 1977 on the day she receives the "Nobel Prize." She becomes a girl who is drugged by her adoptive mother, Zhen E'nv, and intended to be sent to Production Team Leader Hao Jiannan for assault. Lin Xi, relying on her intelligence and composure, escapes just as the drug takes effect and jumps into the river to save herself. In a moment of crisis, she is rescued by Shen Huaichuan, the farm director, who happens to be passing by. However, the next morning, Hao Jiannan and Zhen E'nv come to their door. Hao Jiannan misunderstands Shen Huaichuan to be involved with Lin Xi, confronts him on the spot, and a new conflict is about to erupt.

After the wedding, Shen Huaichuan pretends to be a simple breeder with two children to test Lin Xi. Believing it to be a marriage of convenience, Lin Xi readily agrees without concern. However, Director Tian, Shen Huaichuan's subordinate, suddenly appears, revealing his true identity as the factory director of a state-run farm, adding a new twist to their relationship.

Director Tian immediately approves, turning the situation around and thwarting the Hao brothers' scheme.

To compete for the position of orchard ranger, Lin Xi publicly exposed Hao Jiannan and his brother's attempt to pre-determine the job and proposed a fair competition with the bet of "curing the wilting fruit trees." Hao Jiannan escalated the bet, stating that if Lin Xi lost, her husband Shen Huaichuan would be fired. Shen Huaichuan outwardly agreed but privately arranged for Director Tian to investigate Hao Jiannan's patron, the deputy factory director. Facing her husband's concerns, Lin Xi showed strong confidence and, in turn, reassured Shen Huaichuan, saying she could win easily.

The female lead, Lin Xi, shows her husband, Shen Huaichuan, the new organic pesticide she developed. They go to the orchard to test it, sharing sweet moments. Unexpectedly, production team leader Hao Jiannan suddenly appears, accusing them of poisoning the fruit trees with the pesticide. The villain Fang Ming and the deputy factory director also arrive one after another, colluding to frame Lin Xi and Shen Huaichuan for "damaging state property" and ordering their arrest. Faced with the sudden crisis and false accusations, Lin Xi remains unusually calm, hinting that the situation is not out of her control.
