Episode 2 - Silent No More

Returning from the Taoist temple, Lin Yunqing, possessing the abilities to foresee "plots" and hear people's inner thoughts, is determined to divorce her husband, Sheng Haotian, as soon as she gets home. When the villainous housekeeper, Li Xianglan, faints according to the "script," Sheng Haotian, who can hear Lin Yunqing's thoughts, unexpectedly stays to accompany his wife, much to her surprise. Later, Lin Yunqing discovers a "family photo" featuring Li Xianglan but not herself, further solidifying her resolve to divorce. Just as her inner thoughts predict her mother-in-law's imminent appearance to force her husband to divorce, Sheng Haotian's mother indeed appears in a rage, escalating the conflict to its peak.

Lin Yunqing returns to the Sheng family, only to face her mother-in-law's fury when the housekeeper, Li Xianglan, faints. Lin Yunqing's ability to hear "inner thoughts" that others can also hear works on her mother-in-law for the first time. Through these thoughts, she exposes a past case where her late father-in-law might have been poisoned, and accuses her mother-in-law of being easily swayed by gossip, falsely branding her as an "ill-fated orphan" and driving her out of the house. Upon hearing these thoughts, her husband, Sheng Haotian, decides to exhume the body for an autopsy to uncover the truth, a move that enrages the old lady. In her fury, the old lady reiterates her demand for her son to divorce Lin Yunqing. Unexpectedly, Lin Yunqing seizes the opportunity and agrees on the spot, turning the tables on her mother-in-law.
