However, Yang Shu, long abused and desensitized, in order to appease Yu Chengze's anger and protect herself, secretly pleads with Su Luo to comply with Yu Chengze's inappropriate demands, revealing an extremely twisted family dynamic.

On Su Luo's eighteenth birthday, the day that should have been a celebration turns into a nightmare. Her stepfather, Yu Chengze, has harbored ill intentions towards her for a long time and attempts to assault her on her birthday. Su Luo's biological mother, Yang Shu, in a desperate bid to maintain her comfortable life in the wealthy family, shamelessly pleads with her daughter to "accommodate" her stepfather. In her despair, her older brother Yu Zhun (not her biological brother) appears just in time and rescues Su Luo. After escaping the hellhole, they encounter He Sui, who is pursuing Yu Zhun. Yu Zhun publicly denies Su Luo's identity as his sister, and their relationship begins to subtly change.
