Episode 2 - The Wok & The Wolf

Mr. K (Hu Jun), the world's richest man, disguises himself as a fried rice vendor to avoid public scrutiny, deliberately concealing his identity from his son Hu Zekai. He encounters Song Wan'er, who is searching for Mr. K, but is mistakenly accused of being a scammer trying to extort money. Later, while selling food at a construction site, Hu Jun is looked down upon by his college classmates Hu Lai and Meimei, who are visiting and witness his fallen state. Subsequently, he clashes with Sister Zhou, a vendor who brazenly operates her stall, relying on her daughter (Zhou Mengyu) being the project manager's girlfriend. Hu Jun stands up for the construction workers, revealing his sense of justice and foreshadowing the later unmasking of his identity and escalation of conflicts.

At a construction site, Hu Jun, disguised as a vendor, witnesses project manager Li Jian's wife and mother-in-law, Sister Zhou, bullying workers by threatening to withhold wages, forcing them to buy overpriced porridge. Hu Jun steps in to defend them but is mocked. He then claims to be the father of Hu Zekai, chairman of Feiteng Group, which only earns him more ridicule. Turning the tables, Hu Jun calls his son Hu Zekai on the spot, telling him that his "grandmother" is looking for him. This call, though confusing to Hu Zekai, makes him realize the severity of the situation, and he becomes enraged, immediately heading to the construction site, setting the stage for a future confrontation and humiliation.

Hu Jun, the disguised father of the group's chairman, intervenes but is falsely accused by Li Jian, his girlfriend, and her mother, Sister Zhou. Li Jian boasts about his friendship with Chairman Hu Zekai's father, claiming the chairman himself calls him "Second Uncle." Just then, Hu Zekai arrives in a luxury car. Li Jian and his companions immediately fawn over him and accuse Hu Jun. However, Hu Zekai walks directly to Hu Jun and respectfully addresses him as "Dad," causing an immediate plot twist that leaves everyone present stunned.

Under their guidance, the workers bravely expose the crimes of project manager Li Jian and his mother-in-law, Aunt Zhou, who conspired to force workers to buy their 50-yuan bowls of clear soup porridge and threatened to withhold wages. When their scheme is exposed, Li Jian, seeking to protect himself, turns on his girlfriend on the spot, beats her, and shifts all blame. Hu Zekai immediately orders Li Jian's dismissal and sends all three to the police. Finally, Hu Jun publicly addresses Hu Zekai as "son," revealing their true father-son relationship, leaving the audience with a major plot twist.

Meanwhile, Song Group General Manager Song Wan'er comes to the construction site to find the mysterious Mr. K and clashes with Hu Zekai. She accidentally picks up a supreme black card, leading her to suspect that Hu Jun, who sells fried rice, is Mr. K. At the hotel entrance, Hu Jun's classmates are giving him a hard time over a parking spot, only to be shocked to discover that the owner of the luxury car with a sky-high license plate is none other than their looked-down-upon classmate, Hu Jun.
