The episode opens with Wen Qingwan's inner monologue revealing the background: three years ago, her brother Wen Mingzhe became a vegetable due to a car accident, and her ex-husband Ye Haoyu kept him alive with top-tier medical treatment. Heartbroken, Wen Qingwan decides to leave Ye Haoyu for good. She first goes to the hospital to bid farewell to her comatose brother, expressing her disillusionment with their past love. Afterward, she proceeds to handle the deregistration of her and her brother's household registration, instructing Ye Haoyu's assistant, Xu Wei, to dispose of all the property Ye Haoyu gifted her, including the villa where he once proposed. In the garden, Wen Qingwan burns all the tokens of their ten years of affection. Just as she is about to throw away her ring, Ye Haoyu suddenly appears.
