This episode intertwines memories and reality. In a flashback, Su Yumian faces collective ridicule from male students in the physics department due to her gender. She wagers her ability to solve a top-tier problem, forcing the boys who mocked her to crawl like dogs in public and win back her dignity. This experience also sparks her curiosity about the "prodigy senior" Shao Wenbai, who posed the challenge. In the present, the now-estranged Su Yumian is searching for housing. Shao Wenbai, under the guise of "a friend's urgent rental," offers her a luxurious mansion worth fifty thousand yuan for a mere five hundred yuan. He even deliberately conceals his identity to avoid hurting her pride, and they become next-door neighbors. Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend Jiang Yihuai, suffering from stomach pain with no one to care for him, begins to miss Su Yumian's presence and unexpectedly discovers her old phone.
