In the second storyline, An An's maternal grandmother is distraught and on the verge of collapse after her grandson has been missing for a day and a night. At this critical moment, the harsh second aunt of the Xie family arrives to taunt her, maliciously speculating that An An has been kidnapped. This causes the grandmother to become agitated, suffer a relapse of her illness, and faint, highlighting the dual crisis both inside and outside the Xie family.
