This episode centers around a high-stakes "gamble." Li Junxi, the young master of the Li Group, unaware of Lin Shen's father Lin Zhengdong's true identity as the General Manager of Lin International Bank, openly mocks the Lin family's poverty and proposes a bet of one million, with the loser kneeling and kowtowing. Lin Zhengdong goes with the flow, displaying the composure and dominance of a top magnate. He not only raises the stakes to one hundred million but also adds a life-or-death clause: "the loser jumps from the 13th floor." Lin Shen and Zhao Yiren, kept in the dark by the "poor upbringing" plan, try desperately to dissuade him, believing the Lin family can't even afford ten thousand yuan. Lin Zhengdong, however, utters, "I can't let others bully my son," revealing his profound fatherly love and absolute control, as the battle is about to erupt.
