Plot of Episode 12

This episode depicts a heated confrontation between the female lead, Sheng Yilan, and her ex-boyfriend, Zhao Minghui, in a room. Sheng Yilan clearly rejects Zhao Minghui's advances and belittles and provokes him by mentioning her wealthy husband. Enraged, Zhao Minghui retaliates with insults towards Sheng Yilan and her husband, who was previously in a vegetative state, and then suddenly incapacitates Sheng Yilan with knockout spray. While Sheng Yilan is defenseless, Zhao Minghui threatens to release explicit videos of them and begins to assault her, bringing the episode to an abrupt and highly dangerous cliffhanger.
