Plot of Episode 2

After his wife Xu Meili recovers from her illness, the male lead Wu Youque, a live-in son-in-law brought in for good luck, is forced by the Xu family to sign a divorce agreement. The butler Xu Chengde and Xu Meili herself humiliate and threaten him repeatedly. Wu Youque feigns compliance, pretending to sign the divorce agreement, but instead writes abusive words on the paper, "Wu Shi Er Fu" (I am your father), and seizes the opportunity to escape, leaving Xu Meili furious upon discovering she's been tricked.
