Plot of Episode 2

The episode opens a year in the past. The male protagonist, Gu Changce, injured in a fierce fight and fleeing pursuers, bursts into a room and holds the female protagonist, Qin Danyue, at knifepoint. Facing a life-threatening situation, Qin Danyue remains calm, revealing her prominent identity as the daughter of Qin Zheng, the president of the Shencheng Chamber of Commerce, and offers to help Gu Changce. Just as Gu Changce expresses surprise at her identity, his pursuers arrive at the door, plunging them both into an imminent crisis.
