Chen Shu, the founder of Tianheng Group, faces a double blow. Outside the company, workers fiercely protest due to unpaid wages. Inside, he is shocked to discover the company's funds have been depleted. The culprits are none other than his three adopted children, Chen Qiang, Chen Qian, and Chen Xudong, whom he raised from the orphanage as his own. They not only admit their betrayal but also use it as leverage to force Chen Shu to hand over the company. As Chen Shu's heart breaks from their betrayal, he receives a call from the hospital informing him that his mother has been diagnosed with late-stage liver cancer and urgently requires a large sum for surgery, plunging him into despair.
