Plot of Episode 3

The episode opens with General He Lin, the Protector of the Realm, discovering that his biological daughter, He Jinzhao, has been thrown into a brothel. Enraged, he storms the Misty Rain Tower with his troops. He finds He Jinzhao in the woodshed, severely wounded and barely alive, his heart filled with guilt and tenderness. On the way back to the mansion, He Lin's inner monologue reveals his disappointment with his adopted sons. Meanwhile, He Lin's four adopted sons are with the impostor daughter, He Lulu. Not only do they show no sympathy for He Jinzhao, but they also attempt to steal the life-saving herbs meant for her. Their words are filled with resentment towards He Lin's favoritism and hostility towards He Jinzhao, hinting at the brewing conflicts and betrayals within the family.
