The old madam scolds Si Yun for her lack of achievement, bringing up the tragic past of her parents' deaths as a warning. Si Yun outwardly complies, but inwardly is consumed by the painful memories of the night her parents were murdered. She witnessed her parents being brutally killed by masked assassins, after which she lived in hiding, cultivating her skills in seclusion. She deliberately concealed her true strength to lure out her vanished enemies. To protect the Si family's assets, the old madam forces Si Yun to marry into the Zhou family, intending for her to rely on Zhou Xujing. Her cousin, Si Qingyao, who is infatuated with Zhou Xujing, vehemently opposes the marriage, taunting Si Yun as a "little straw bag." Instead of getting angry at the insult, Si Yun nonchalantly proposes marrying her four sworn brothers.
