Fang Yun bumps into Zhao Tingwen in the corridor and, worried that her previous teasing nickname "Uncle" might have been overheard, awkwardly retreats back to the banquet hall. At the matchmaking banquet, Fang Yun's grandfather and Zhao's patriarch vigorously try to set up Fang Yun and Zhao Tingwen. Fang Yun outwardly plays the role of a gentle "young lady from a prominent family," but inwardly despairs about the arranged marriage, even worrying that Zhao Tingwen might refuse. To her surprise, Zhao Tingwen publicly expresses his satisfaction with Fang Yun and decisively proposes getting their marriage certificate first, followed by a wedding next month, thus finalizing their engagement. Although Fang Yun finds the matchmaking exhausting, she isn't entirely opposed to the handsome "Minister Zhao."
