This episode follows Jiang Yuntang on her journey back to the capital. Through her maid Dai Qiao, she discovers that the "fertility-enhancing medicine" her mother-in-law, Old Madam Ye, gave her is actually a harmful contraceptive. Deeply shocked, Jiang Yuntang begins to suspect the Ye family. Meanwhile, the sleeping Gun Bao encounters the Three Immortals of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity in a dream. Having accumulated sixty-six acts of merit, Gun Bao is granted permission to cultivate divine power and cleverly chooses the longest name, "Eight Trigram Wind-Listening Ear." Upon waking, Gun Bao eagerly tests her newfound divine power, accidentally intercepting a secret from a nearby carriage. Dai Qiao then realizes it's a carriage from the North Ding General's mansion, thus ushering in a new phase of the story where domestic intrigue blends with fantasy.
