In the speeding car, Areeya is in extreme panic and despair, mistakenly believing that President Thanachot is going to marry her off to the creepy old man who appeared yesterday. She desperately pleads for mercy, willing to accept any punishment as long as she is not pushed off to someone else. Thanachot, outwardly cold and ruthless, experiences complex emotions seeing Areeya yield for the first time in two years. At this moment, an elder from his family (possibly his grandfather) calls, questioning him about the rumors with the hotel girl last night and adamantly opposing his marriage to "that kind of woman." After Thanachot defiantly retorts to his elder, he reveals the true "punishment" to Areeya: the person she will marry is none other than himself.
