In this episode, after rescuing the paralyzed Jasper from danger, Mia is brought back to the Lancaster estate. Jasper reveals that when the utility pole collapsed, his own sister Freya fled for her life, whereas the street urchin Mia stepped up to save him. Consequently, Sir Bernard harshly rebukes Freya and arranges for Mia to clean up and change. Dressed in a gorgeous gown, Mia looks as adorable as a little princess, winning high praise from both the grandfather and Jasper, which deeply fuels Freya’s jealousy and resentment as she loses favor. At dinner, Mia, who has never used cutlery before, looks awkward and uneasy at the table. Although her grandfather lovingly allows her to eat with her hands, Freya and the servants secretly mock her for being crude and ill-mannered.
