The episode opens with a flashback detailing how the Gu family's three brothers were conscripted for five years of secret scientific research. Before leaving, they knelt to bid farewell to their mother, Zhao Shuran, entrusting her to the care of their three wives. Five years later, the three daughters-in-law (Jiaojiao, Jiang Ruan, and Li Li), now accomplished women, return in luxury cars. To their shock, they find their mother-in-law, Zhao Shuran, injured in a dilapidated village, and even the only photo of her sons has been torn apart. Upon discovering that the perpetrators were the future in-laws of Jiaojiao's sister, the three daughters-in-law decide to host a grand welcome banquet for their mother-in-law, announcing her noble status to all of Yuncheng and seeking justice for her.
