Xu An formally submits her resignation to the company, deciding to completely leave Lu Mingzhou. Lu Mingzhou returns from vacation with Zhou Min and is shocked and offended to learn of Xu An's departure. He stops her while she is moving, arrogantly dismissing her resignation as "throwing a tantrum" and even offering her "paid leave" and demanding she return to her position. To appease Zhou Min, who is shaken by a car accident, Lu Mingzhou shamelessly demands that his ex-girlfriend, Xu An, help him prepare for the proposal ceremony. After Xu An's resolute refusal and biting curse, Lu Mingzhou reveals his sinister nature, using the orphanage expansion project, which Xu An cares about most, as leverage to forcibly take her away.
