In this episode, Miranda complains to her daughter Emily about being humiliated by Robert, who was disguised as a rideshare driver, prompting Emily to swear revenge. The scene then shifts to Selena seeking medical attention for her injuries, leaving Robert deeply guilt-ridden and vowing to make those who hurt her pay. The next day, Emily deliberately goes to the jewelry store where Selena works to stir up trouble. She not only intentionally splashes hot coffee to scald Selena, but also forces her to kneel while serving her. As Emily escalates her provocation and falsely accuses Selena of assault, the store manager appears, harshly reprimands Selena, and threatens to fire her.
