This episode follows Lu Jiuyuan as he selects a martial art in the Zhexie Division's scripture repository. Despite his brother-in-law Xu Tieshan's dissuasion, he insists on choosing "Fumo Zhenyue Guan," a technique that has remained unmastered for a century. Leveraging his "Poxie Eyes," he discerns the true meaning within the martial art's secret manual. Subsequently, Xu Tieshan mentions the rules for the "Zongqi" promotion assessment. Lu Jiuyuan rejects the exceptional promotion, opting to compete based on his own strength. He then "coaxes" his brother-in-law's secret out of him by threatening his "private funds." Finally, Lu Jiuyuan enters seclusion to cultivate, successfully breaking through to the sixth-rank Ninggang realm after taking a Qi Gathering Pill, making thorough preparations for the upcoming assessment.
