Stadium staff member Emma is late for work after taking care of a lost little boy, Jerry, whom she encountered by chance, causing her to miss an important contract signing with baseball superstar Michael Miller. She leaves Jerry in the broadcasting room. Shortly after, Jerry's "mother," Rebecca, appears and treats him roughly. Emma intervenes out of a sense of justice but is rudely driven away by Rebecca. Unbeknownst to Emma, Jerry is actually her and Michael's son, lost for many years. At the end of the episode, Michael Miller himself arrives, looking for Emma, setting the stage for their impending meeting and future conflicts.
