Plot of Episode 7

This episode, through flashbacks and interpolated narratives, reveals Ye Chen's legendary identity and his deep bond with Gu Mengyao and Aunt He. The episode opens with Ye Chen saving Han Yuan, exposing his identity as the Supreme Martial Artist to Han Feng. The Han family attempts to curry favor but is rejected by Ye Chen. The story then flashes back, revealing that Ye Chen was severely injured five years ago and was rescued and taken in by Aunt He and a young Gu Mengyao. Five years later, Ye Chen reappears and saves Gu Mengyao from harassment by the bar owner, Lu Zitai. He boldly asserts his claim, intimidating Lu Zitai and his backer, Xu Yalan. Xiao Wenyue and Li Jingjing appear. Xiao Wenyue invites Ye Chen and Gu Mengyao home for dinner. Ye Chen accepts due to Aunt He and Gu Mengyao, but his arrogant attitude displeases Li Jingjing. Xiao Wenyue, meanwhile, begins to question Ye Chen's true identity.
