Jiang Zhiheng, the eldest son of the Jiang family, is shocked to learn that his sister Jiang Yao has been abused since returning home, living in a storage room and starving. The maid Xiao Yu tells him about the past when Jiang Yao was publicly humiliated by her biological father, Jiang Ping, for sharing mooncakes made by her adoptive parents. Jiang Zhiheng then realizes with a start that he had once given Jiang Yao a box of mooncakes she couldn't eat due to allergies, but she had treasured them for a year.
