Ying Chan, escorted by Jin Si, heads to the company, where they engage in an ambiguous and testing conversation in the car. Ying Chan observes Jin Si's fingers and confirms he isn't wearing the "butterfly ring" from her dream, a flicker of disappointment crossing her mind. Upon arriving at the company, Ying Chan meets with Shang Lu Bai, the CEO with an extreme desire for control. Citing protection and reputation, Shang Lu Bai attempts to interfere with Ying Chan's bodyguard arrangements, mentally pressuring her with their "childhood sweethearts" connection and "scandalous label." Ying Chan retaliates with composure, leading to a stalemate. At this moment, Qiao Lai Yin, Shang Lu Bai's nominal fiancée, suddenly appears, interrupting their standoff.
