Seeking to buy an artificial kidney for her mother, Nina Lowell brings one million to Ian Musk for help. Ian, her boyfriend Evan's uncle, mocks Nina for using his money to save someone, revealing that the sum is payment for their one-night stand. Humiliated and rejected by Ian, a desperate Nina proposes 'one million plus me' as an exchange. Just as Ian pressures Nina to kiss him, testing her resolve, Evan suddenly bursts in. To prevent Evan from discovering the truth, Nina pleads with Ian for help and agrees to his 'increased price' demand. Ian then picks her up and throws her into the pool, creating the illusion of them playfully splashing around.
