The Shen family (father, mother, and daughter Shen Mingzhu) visit Fu Mochen, CEO of Fu Group, seeking cooperation. To their astonishment, they discover that Ruan Qingzhi, the adopted daughter they have always bullied, is actually CEO Fu's wife. Shen's mother and Shen Mingzhu, driven by jealousy, make rude remarks, infuriating Fu Mochen. To protect his wife, Fu Mochen tears up the contract on the spot and orders a city-wide ban on the Shen family. Ruan Qingzhi watches coldly, pointing out that this is the backlash the Shen family faces for trying to "swap fates" and steal her good fortune. After being expelled from the Fu family and suffering severe business setbacks, the desperate Shen family blames everything on Ruan Qingzhi, believing that only by killing her can the fate-swapping succeed, allowing the family and Shen Mingzhu to regain good fortune.
