On the seventh day of her son's passing, the female lead Mu Wan storms into the hotel where her ex-husband Fu Beihan and his lover Su Ziqing are staying. She provocatively displays a "memorial photo" of Su Ziqing in front of everyone. A heated confrontation ensues, revealing that the child was not Fu Beihan's biological son and Mu Wan's accusation that they were responsible for the child's death. Just as Fu Beihan is about to expel Mu Wan, the hotel manager unexpectedly treats her with great respect and orders Fu Beihan, Su Ziqing, and others to clear out to make space for Mu Wan's deceased "young master." The plot takes a sudden turn, leaving the audience in suspense.
