To cope with his mother's nagging about marriage, ordinary office worker Lin Zhou hires a fake girlfriend through a platform, but mistakenly hires his company's newly appointed president, Liu Ruyan, as the fake girlfriend. Lin Zhou confides in Liu Ruyan, explaining his inability to find true love due to financial pressure. Coincidentally, Liu Ruyan is also facing an arranged blind date set up by her father, so she decides to play along and agrees to be the fake girlfriend.
