However, Xu Fanxing's arrival is not for reconciliation, but to reclaim her mother's heirloom, a bracelet, which Shen Xingchen had given to her cousin, Xu Jiaojiao. Amidst the humiliation from the crowd and Xu Jiaojiao's provocations, Shen Xingchen uses the return of the bracelet as a condition, forcing Xu Fanxing, who is severely allergic to alcohol, to drink. Despite her best friend Tang Tian's attempts to intervene, Shen Xingchen insists on forcing her to drink. This moment of cruelty shatters Xu Fanxing's heart, making her realize that he not only doesn't love her but even wishes for her death.

At the photoshoot, Xu Jiaojiao makes things difficult for Xu Fanxing, and Shen Xingchen publicly humiliates her as a "third-rate photographer," demanding a replacement. However, Shen Xingchen's inner monologue reveals his cruelty is a facade to hide his concern and his attempt to maintain control over Xu Fanxing. Faced with betrayal, Xu Fanxing doesn't make a scene. Instead, with a calm and resolute demeanor, amidst memories and reality intertwining, she packs all her belongings, including their once-sweet tokens of affection. Finally, she resolutely leaves the home, putting an end to this broken marriage.
