At the Lin Group's heir voting meeting, Chairman Lin Wantian proposes a vote to decide the successor. The directors overwhelmingly support the second son, Lin Anren, while belittling the idle eldest son, Lin Feng. Lin Feng publicly points out the unfairness of the vote and provocatively states that he will only be elected if Lin Anren is dead. Seizing this opportunity, Lin Anren declares he has been chosen by the mysterious organization "The Temple" and will soon be crowned one of the "Twelve Golden Immortals," drawing praise from everyone. Just as Lin Anren is basking in self-satisfaction, Lin Feng coldly announces he has no chance and declares with absolute presence that he has the final say, hinting at an unknown and powerful identity.
