At a celebratory dinner for joining the garment factory, Lin Hai suddenly realizes he has been reborn more than ten years into the past. He recalls that in his previous life, it was right after this dinner that Guo Fang and her associates plotted against him. After drinking, he ended up in bed with Guo Fang. She then lied, claiming it was her first time, which led Lin Hai to marry her out of guilt. He also suspected that Guo Fang was already pregnant with an "illegitimate child" at that time.
