The episode opens with Mu Ningning desperately needing money due to her grandmother's car accident. She's forced to abandon her newborn daughter, Huanbao, at the doorstep of Huo Beijue, the CEO of Huo Corporation. Huo Beijue's grandfather is overjoyed, mistaking the baby for his great-granddaughter, but Huo Beijue adamantly denies it. Bloodstains under the baby's swaddling clothes spark confusion among everyone and trigger Huo Beijue's memories from ten months prior: he saved Mu Ningning from harassment at a bar, but was drugged and ended up sleeping with her. With this recollection, Huo Beijue decides to conduct a paternity test on the baby to uncover the truth of her parentage.
