The episode opens with Huo Beijue, president of Huo Corporation, appearing in the company lobby holding a crying baby (Huanbao), looking flustered. Employees stare, gossiping about the "prematurely fathered" bachelor and speculating that the child's mother is Zhao Xinyue, the well-matched daughter of the Zhao family. The female protagonist, Mu Ningning (Huanbao's biological mother), sees her daughter crying and feels heartbroken. A female colleague volunteers to try and comfort the baby but fails. Mu Ningning can't help but want to try, but is met with ridicule from her colleagues. Just as Mu Ningning turns away in disappointment, ready to leave, she is stopped by a desperate Huo Beijue, leaving the plot on a cliffhanger.
