In this episode, protagonist Kanno Minori is in her hospital bed when her husband Saijo Riku's mistress, Sanada Mei, confronts her. Mei feigns concern, but actually flaunts Riku's affection for her and cruelly mocks Minori, asking why she hasn't died yet as a mere "blood bag." Mei deliberately provokes Minori and then stages being pushed, which Riku witnesses upon his arrival. Without understanding the situation, Riku accuses Minori and defends the pitiful Mei. He ultimately grabs Minori's chin, ordering her to shut up, and the episode ends with intense conflict.
