This episode unfolds along two narrative threads. Detective George and the protagonist, while investigating an abandoned house, discover it's not deserted. His assistant, Irene (actually an undercover journalist), urges him to proceed with the next experiment quickly due to financial and contractual pressure, leading to a conflict between scientific ethics and practical interests.
