Plot of Episode 4

This episode marks a turning point in the fate of Calista, the frost magic successor of the House Severu. Trained hard in frost magic under her father Damon's guidance, Calista is strictly forbidden by him on the grounds that her frail body makes her unsuited for the craft. Soon, the temple horn echoes, summoning the entire clan. Presided over by the High Elder Theren, Calista is put on public trial for violating the ban on women practicing magic. To save his daughter, Damon takes the blame upon himself, willing to accept punishment in the Forbidden Forest; however, citing the breach of ancestral covenants, the High Elder cruelly orders Calista's execution. In agonizing pain, Damon draws his dagger and walks toward his despairing daughter.
